Examinations and Vaccinations
Preventive Medicine is the Key to Complete Health Care
Regular routine examinations are essential to the maintenance of good health for your pet. Through these examinations early diagnosis can be made and disorders more effectively treated. While vaccinations are important for all pets, a regular exam plus an internal check for parasites can promote early treatment before serious illness can set in.

Diagnostic Laboratory
A Closer look at What's Going On
The Brenner Animal Hospital stands ready to perform any and all lab tests to better diagnose your pets problems. Our hospital has a complete in-house laboratory as well as access to the two largest commercial labs in the country.
We also offer:
Dental Care
Promoting Disease Prevention
Dental hygiene for our pets cannot be over emphasized, not only to prevent loss of teeth, but, to prevent such secondary problems as heart, kidney, and liver disease that can result from infected gums.

Dental tartar, reddened bleeding gums, difficulty eating and foul breath are common signs of tooth and gum disease. Contrary to popular belief, chewing treats will no more keep teeth clean than will chocolate chip cookies.
Regular dental cleaning with both our modern ultrasonic and high speed dental equipment is an effective step toward the prevention of diseases associated with tartar accumulation and gum disease. If dental extractions or intraoral radiographs (within the mouth X-rays) are needed, we have a state of the art high speed drilling unit and a special dental x-ray unit to take care of it quickly and easily.
We now offer dental x-ray to better identify problems deep in the gums and tooth roots.

Hospital Care
The Best of Nursing Care with Plenty of TLC
We offer clean, spacious, comfortable facilities for your pet's stay while in our hospital. Although our philosophy is to attempt to have most of our patients treated in the familiar surroundings of their own homes, there are times when an overnight stay in the hospital is necessary. We offer a wide variety of special diets, and we welcome any special instructions you might have regarding your pet to make its stay more comfortable. As we said, we treat your pet as if it were our own.

X-Ray and Diagnostic Ultrasound
Take a Look Inside
Our hospital is equipped with the most up-to-date radiology (X-ray) equipment. We have a new 400mA Summit X-ray machine (the most powerful available), top of the line rare earth X-ray cassettes, and a fully automatic X-ray processor to insure the best quality radiographs possible on our patients. We also have the first intraoral dental x-ray unit in the area which we use to detect dental problems that are underneath the gumline. All of our radiographs are reveiwed by Dr. Micheal Wise, a veterinarian who specializes in veterinary radiology.

Dr. Wise also performs diagnostic ultrasounds, echocardiograms, video endoscopy, and bronchcoscopy at our practice. This allows our patients to have access to these special diagnostic tests when they are necessary, while still receiving the benefits of having a specialist perform the testing.
